Went to the doctor today for my weekly visit and here is the low down...
- my blood pressure is still bordering the preeclampsia line but hasn't crossed over yet so the doctor feels confident that if I maintain my modified bedrest schedule I should be just fine until she is born. I still have to monitor my blood pressure every day, a few times a day, but unless there is a serious spike, I'm ok.
- They did a stress test on the baby to see how she's doing and she's great! She's not stressed at all (obviously she doesn't not take after her mom or day - hee hee)
- I'm still going to be induced on March 12th. Actually, I go in into the hospital at 6pm on the 11th for the "prep" stage and then they induce me early the 12th. Once induction takes place, the baby should be born within 12 hours or so.
- I am not dialated or effaced at all. Of course that could change at any given moment but for now, I'm not. I've got 1 more appointment next Monday so we'll see if there is any progress after that.
I think that is it. Can't believe that at this time next week we could be holding our baby girl - too wild!! We'll post pictures of her as soon as possible on the blog so stay tuned!!

sorry i have been behind on posting. things are shaping up really great around here. i heard moms go thru the nesting process before the baby arrives and i think i got my own version of it alot worse than shells bells. i was getting nervous that i would never finish alot of chores that have been lingering on my list so the last month i tackled everything. i reorganized the whole basement, built shelves and boxed almost everything up. i made the poker room side look much better also. i organized mardi gras beads, and threw out old paint cans, did it all. the basement looks great for now, im sure things will keep accumulating. im not the packrat of the family.
maybe i should have left the basement looking full...oh well. (by the way, i have my fair share of stuff in the garage) i also have my 4 wheeler torn to pieces and the engine half rebuilt, i should finish it this weekend. it will run much better. i discovered the piston was cracked, but it was still running. another reason to ALWAYS buy honda! i also did a bunch of little stuff like organize pictures on the computer and get a backup, so we can save all the new pics of the family.
ive been trying to see lots of movies for some reason (not that we wont have time for that, and ive grown quiet fond of the wii. we have a tank game thats pretty cool and mario galaxy is awesome. i never played video games much, never in college when all the other guys were playing bond, or tiger woods golf or grand theft auto, but this wii is pretty cool. guess im a dork. still dont spend much time in front of the tv though, id rather waiste time reorganizing my to do list and adding things to it. its a sickness i have to fill my time constantly tinkering with things around the house, instead of actually sitting down and doing one thing. this is also probably why i have 30 different hobbies.
Im #1 in earnings in my neighborhood texas holdem leaugue which is pretty sweet. next game is tue 3-10. the night before we go in the hospital!
as for work, we are lucky that things are steady, it slows down, but never enough to send anyone home. the sign biz is always on and off anyway. i was really busy with soco mardi gras stuff. we make all the signs and banners for that one big day in soulard (for shells company) here is a project i just got done working on this evening. it is a launch for a new premium vodka that patron is putting out. im sure its nasty so stick with Finlandia OK!!
i actually had a lot of fun with this. its not the most intense design stuff ive done, but i had to download all these pics from the web to make the imagery. usually big companies give us art to work with and i "make it fit" or just adjust it to size, but i got to pick my own pics so that was cool. it would be even cooler to spearhead my own photoshoots like my friend jessica that works for edward jones, but we arent that big yet!
the 16 little pics are for displays on tv's in the room. they will just cycle thru during the party. some are just the pics as are with a logo added, some are tinted blue, some have the bottles added. i think i have a good balance. the other thing is an invite postcard
...and the rest are tall banners that will be hanging around the bars
i thought the chicky was kinda cool. i guess i like these because normally i have to put so much text on all my designs... these got to remain more like artwork. just a simple message with a bottle and name and more of a feel, instead of telling you what your looking at. yep, thats why i had so much fun doing these.
anyway, just to clarify with all the guys out there, i love my wife and i love that she has been so brave these last nine months and i try to help when i can, but she is building me up too much on the blog and i dont want to get you in trouble with you better halves. she still cooks and cleans and drives me home when i indulge in too many drinks at dinner. occasionally i rub her feet for 5 minutes, but it usually because she gave into my movie selection, or something like that. ladies dont buy into all the praise, besides im trapped here in omaha with her and we share the same office space, so the amount of things i do for her compared to the amount of time we are together is equal to anyone else.
tonight we went out for what may be the last dinner in about 13-14 years that we wont incure an extra cost for a baby sitter. we took our time eating sushi and both got seperate desserts! it wasnt the best idea (since were stuffed) but it was nice (the quiet before the storm i suppose?!) shells is holding in there, shes a trooper, only 9 days left!!!!

Ding - Dong - The tree is Gone!!!!
Of course, I've been meaning to blog about it for weeks and once I do, the lady decides to take it down. Maybe she found our blog online and was embarrassed enough that she was compelled to take it down, or maybe someone else talked some sense into her... either way, I don't care - It's gone!!!
O.K., so Christmas was 65 days ago and yet the neighbor behind us STILL has her Christmas tree up. What's worse is that it's also still on a timer so every night at 6pm, it lights up in all it's glory.
A month ago Jeremy and I placed bets on how long we thought she'd keep it up for and both of our dates have come and gone and that stinkin' tree is STILL UP!!!
We thought about placing an anonymous note in her mailbox but then realized that she'd know it was from 1 of 3 people... the only three people that live behind her and would know that her tree was still a glowin'.
So, here it is, almost March, and we're still enjoying the luminous wonderment that is this woman's tree.
Stay tuned for updates on just how long this ridiculousness continues!!!

This blog is a week late but I wanted to make sure and post it none the less.
This past Monday (the 9th) I turned 30 (gasp!)!! I can't believe it. I don't feel 30? Well, that's not completely true, normally I wouldn't feel 30, however considering I'm 35 weeks pregnant, I kinda feel like I'm 85, but that's just temporary ;)
Anyway, since I can't travel or drink and I'm not supposed to be eating fun junk foods (or anything high in sodium), I told Jeremy that I wanted to postpone my bday celebration until this summer and maybe just piggyback onto his bday or at least celebrate when I could enjoy myself. But did my hubby listen to me - of course not (story of our lives)! But for once, I am quite happy that he didn't!
He ended up throwing me a small surprise party here in Omaha to ring in my 30's! It was a Mardi Gras theme (since it's Mardi Gras month) and he invited just a couple neighbors and some exciting surprise guests... Sarah, Josh, and Jenny!!!! It was a great surprise. I had been getting a pedicure with my friend/neighbor Kelly and when we came back to the house - the group surpised me at the door. Jeremy had cajun food catered, hurricanes batched up, awesome decor and beads all over the house, some "alcohol free" wine for me, and even a king cake for my birthday cake! He even made a banner for our front porch and hung the Mardi Gras flag up too. The pictures just don't do justice to all the decor that was up - the whole house was decked out! It was a small group of people and the neighbors didn't stay late, but that was PERFECT considering I'm not exactly the night owl these days.
The rest of the night/weekend was spent just hanging out and enjoying time with Sarah, Josh, and Jeremy - it was so great. We played Wii, played board games, went out to my favorite breakfast place and also enjoyed a nice dinner out on Saturday night. We had some great laughs and Jenny and Sarah both got some quality time with "Peanut" because she was kicking up a storm while they were here.
I just have to thank Sarah, Josh and Jenny for making the trip up to Omaha for my birthday - I felt so very loved and special and couldn't have asked for a better birthday :)
And of course, a big thanks to Jeremy for pulling it all together. I'm not an easy one to surprise but he managed to go all out and make everything just wonderful - no detail was spared in the surprise. You're the best babe - guess I better start figuring out a plan for your 30th now huh? ;)
That's it for now - we're just counting down the days until Peanut's arrival - it's only about 4 or so weeks away now!!!

OK, this post is going to be all about baby news (since most things in our life from here on out are going to be all about baby).
THE NURSERY
Lot's of folks have been asking if we have finished the nursery yet and I think I can safely say that we have! We went for a gender neutral theme so that once our next little one comes along, we can hopefully use the same bedding and accessories with just a few minor changes if the next one happens to be a boy.
I have always liked this "Honey Bee" theme, it's simple but sweet. Here is a shot of the crib. The nice thing is that it converts into a head board and foot board for a full size bed, so it grows as she grows!
You'll notice the white rocking chair next to the crib - that is actually a chair that Jeremy's Grandma used to use to rock her babies in and now we managed to get it for our little one. Jeremy painted it white and will be putting a little monogram on top (like the one in the picture) once she is born and we know her name. Right now it's just a decal. Jeremy and his Mom also worked together to paint the three pictures on the wall and I think they turned out awesome! It will be really special to have so many items in her room that were made with love from her parents and family!
Here is a picture of her changing table/dresser - the nice thing is that the changing part is just a piece I bought separate so once she is older, we can take if off and let her use the dresser! This dresser was actually mine since high school!
And here is a shot of her book shelf. It was really important to me to have a bookshelf for her to display all of her special things on (along with added storage and a place to keep - well, books). There are quite a few "special" items on here already including the Peanut Baby sculpture that was hand made for her by her Grandpa Durham, a porcelain statue of a little girl praying that used to be mine as a child, land ots of books from her family memebers (including my very own favorite story book from my childhood).
As you can see, Oscar is staking his claim to the nursery, as is his tiny brother Max. The two of them spend a lot of time in there. I think they sense that something big is about to happen in that room, either that, or they both just really like it in there because whenever they are upstairs, I usually find them napping in the nursery.
We have a few more things to add, but they'll wait until after her arrival because they are items like a framed shot of her hands/feet and name tiles for the arched wall near the windows (which we won't know until we name her when she's born). Next up...
Shelley & Jeremy
This will be quick...
I'm large and in charge. I've gained around 25lbs so far which I consider pretty good, but will probably gain about 5 more before she's born (hopefully no more!).
I am swollen. I wake up in the morning and my feet are already a little puffy and by the end of the day, they look horrific! Here is a shot to clue everyone in to how ugly and chubby they get by the evening. (Side Note: They are so swollen that I have to shove them into shoes now, hence, why you'll notice there is an indent from where I just took off my shoe). I can't believe I'm posting this but it is kind of a strange and unusual phenonmenon to me still, please excuse the state of my feet, I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow night!
Other than that, same old story - I don't sleep much because I am too uncomfortable, I have to sleep with arm braces on because I've got carpal tunnel in both hands/arms due to the pregnancy, it's hard to tie my shoes or get off low couches and chairs, and I am waddling around like a duck since all my joints and muscles are working overtime. I am VERY lucky though - I have not major complications other than the usual gripes you hear :) I will say that I am definitely ready for my little girl to make her appearance!
As for Jeremy, he's being a wonderful husband and daddy so far. He has really stepped up and taken over a lot of things around the house (not that he didn't before) and does a nice job of pampering me. As mentioned, he's done so much to get ready for Peanut, made/painted picutres, put furniture together, created digital announcements - the list just goes on and on! Here he is on another Saturday, working his fingers to the bone while I "supervise".
He offers to give me foot and back rubs a lot and is spending lots of time with me. He has a knack for feeling where the baby is and deciphering where her head is vs. her back/butt. We are in our baby classes right now and he is awesome and asks all the right questions that I forget to bring up! I am getting more uncomfortable by the day and hence more edgy and he just smiles and hugs me and pretends that I'm not evil - I love him for that! He'll be a fabulous labor coach and an amazing father!!
THE BABY
We went in for our 34 week ultrasound today! This will be the last ultrasound unless there is something wrong (knock on wood). Here is the update from the doctor...
- All of her organs checked out great - her heart, lungs, stomach, bladder, and kidneys as well as her brain tissue!!
- Her heart rate was around 155 which is strong
- Her head is measuring slightly small (a week behind my due date)
- Her belly is measuring slightly large (a week ahead of my due date)
- The doc says by looking at all of her measurements, she is about 5lbs 5oz right now
- They can't tell how long she is because she is curled up and not extended
- She is in the 50th percentile and is about as normal/average as you can get on size
- If the doc had to guess, he said he'd guess she comes out weighing about 7.5lbs - but definitely no bigger than 8lbs (this is just a guess though, she could certainly be smaller or larger)
- I'm doing good, ok on blood pressure, weight, health, etc.
- No change in due date - he's still saying that she's coming out around March 19th!
We also got some great pictures. She's so big now that there isn't a ton of room in there so the pics are mostly shots of her face/head. Hopefully you can tell by looking at these that they are of her face - her eyes are closed and her mouth is slightly open in most of them. Oh, and the dark stuff you see on her head is not hair - the doctor showed us her hair in another shot and there isn't much of it yet.
For all those that entered the Peanut Predictor baby pool, it is officially "locked" as of today so no edits or new guesses can be made. We figued that since we have all the above info from the doc, it wouldn't be fair to let people change their votes now so we locked it this afternoon. You can still view it though and we'll deifnitley announce the "winner" once she arrives -which we can't wait for!!!!!
I think that is it. This weekend we're laying low and celebrating my leap into my 30's with a very quiet dinner, a movie, and possibly some shopping. Can't get too crazy at this stage in the game :)
Thanks for checking in - we'll post more soon!

If you want to get in on the Peanut-Predictor, make sure you enter your guesses by next week because it will "close" after that and no guesses will be able to be altered after that time.
Thanks to EVERYONE who already participated - there are 37 of you entered! I'll make sure I come up with a great prize for the winner :)

What name do you think Baby Weber should have? Jeremy and I have narrowed it down to 3 names that we like best but we think we're going to take all three to the hospital with us and decide when she arrives. What name do you like best? Vote today!!!
Just wanted to give a shout out to my very bestest friend Jenny on her 30th birthday!!! There was a fun surprise party for her on Saturday in St. Louis which I was not able to attend and I'm super bummed about that. But, I saw pictures and talked with party-goers and herad that it was a great time and that Jenny had lots of fun!
I just can't believe that we're all turning 30 this year - boy does time fly. I met Jenny when we were just 15 years old - and we hit it off from the start! Here's a shot of us about a month or so after we met, getting ready to go to our Homecoming dance...
Even though we're turning 30, Jen and I still manage to have crazy fun times when we're together. Ok, maybe they aren't as crazy as they once were, but they are just as fun! I can't wait to see what kind of wild adventures we continue to have over the next 15 years!
So even though it's 10:30am on a Monday and I'm pregnant, I'm raising a glass to Miss Jennifer Geschke - Happy Birthday Juanita, Thelma, Bunny, Bossy, and Texas Tina - I hope this year is one of your best yet!! Love you!
